The decision was taken in the Business Advisory Committee meeting of the Jatiya Sangsad held at Sangsad Bhaban with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Members of the committee Leader of the House Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Leader of the Opposition Rowshan Ershad, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on health ministry Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Deputy Speaker Md. Fazley Rabbi Mia, chairman of parliamentary standing committee on ministry of LGRD and Cooperatives Abul Hasnat Abdullah, Civil Aviation Minister Rashed Khan Menon, Chief Whip ASM Firoz, Moin Uddin Khan Badal and Law Minister Anisul Haq were present.
Taking part in the discussion Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked all concerned and the Speaker for successful holding of the 63rd Conference of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in Dhaka.
The premier urged for bringing the important current issues in the discussion of the parliament including Rohingya problem, UNESCO recognition to the historic address of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 7, 1971 and others.
The meeting decided that the parliament will discuss on March 7, Rohingya issue and CPA conference on separate days. Three pending bills will be passed in the current session while four new bills will be placed for passage.
The session will begin at 4 p.m everyday except weekly holidays and will continue till November 23, 2017. The Speaker, if necessary, may extend or reduce the period of the session.
Senior Secretary Dr Abdur Rob Hawlader presented the working paper of the meeting while senior officials of the Parliamentarian Secretariat were present.
